I FREAKING DID IT!!! 3 weeks. 21 days later. And the transformation photos are HERE!!!
I have to be honest and tell you that this week was a HUGE challenge for me in the SHIFT SHOP. Traveling and attempting to stay focused 100% on the nutrition plan was near impossible and so I was really worried to take my official “after” pics for the first round.
Would I really see a difference?!
I was BLOWN AWAY. Three. Freaking. Weeks. That was it.
Well, that…and showing up to my workouts and nutrition!!!
First, let me tell you a bit about WEEK 3:
Week three turned up the volume on the workouts to 45 minutes each. I had SPEED 45 workouts every other day combined with STRENGTH 45 + CORE. The speed workouts had 3 rounds using the Agility Markers in three various formations. Each round had 4 exercises and you repeated the round for 1 minute, 45 seconds, and 30 seconds. I swear I’ve never sweat so much in my life!!! Strength was a similar format. One minute of each strength exercise, followed by 45 seconds, and finishing it off with a 30 second round of each move. K-I-L-L-E-R!!! Oh…and don’t even get me started on the burn out…
In terms of nutrition, this week all of the carbs were removed from my meal plan. That was where the challenge came in. Traveling as a vegan is hard. Traveling as a vegan who is trying to eat healthy is even harder. And traveling as a vegan who is trying to eat healthy and can’t eat carbs is near impossible. PLUS…my shipment of Shakeology didn’t arrive in time before I got on my flight, so I didn’t have my shake to at least hold me over. If I’m being honest, it was brutal and I ended up having to eat some carbs along the way this weekend. I also joined in for some celebratory cocktails, which wasn’t quite part of the plan.
But ya know what?! I’m not even mad. I’m not feeling guilty. I’m not beating myself up. The old me would have totally gone down that road, but this is about a JOURNEY and about making healthy choices that are sustainable, not a quick fix.
Not only did I make a shift in my PHYSICAL transformation, but I also had a HUGE mental shift, too! I just FEEL good inside, ya know?! I mean….when’s the last time you just FELT GOOD?! It’s an awesome feeling.
Side by side photos always pump me up, though!!! It’s fun to see the fruits of my labor from start to finish. I really feel like I did an amazing job the past three weeks and I’m excited to see where another round of SHIFT SHOP takes me!!!
