The countdown to SHAUN WEEK is OFFICIALLY done and I can say that I really do love the workouts this guy creates. I’ve personally done every Shaun T workout (except Insanity Asylum) from start to finish and bringing back some of these old faves was FUN this week!!! It really makes me step back and see just how far I’ve come in this journey.

My very first Beachbody program was Insanity and then I dove into T25. I put off doing Insanity Max30 until just recently. And I’ve even sweat the pounds off doing CIZE. Each program offers a challenge. Each workout pushes me to become a better me. Shaun T said something yesterday in a Fast and Furious INSANITY workout that really made an imprint on my heart. He said something along the lines of “…some people say they love to hate me. Get rid of the hate. Fall in love with the journey to get to your results.”

I know I always say I love to hate him, but he’s right. I don’t hate the results I get. I sometimes just get annoyed at him for pushing me so hard. But he is the TOOL to my SUCCESS.

And now I’m ready for even more of those tools as we take on SHAUN WEEK.

After CONQUERING my “COUNTDOWN to SHAUN WEEK” I’m ready for the challenge.

This week is gonna be GOOD, ya’ll.

MONDAY: Insane Basics:  Go Slow, form over speed, work through it.

TUESDAY: Pure Cardio Part 2:  It is going to be amazing!  You don’t go to the floor at all.

WEDNESDAY: Insane Weights:  This workout is hitting the weights in an Insanity format.

THURSDAY: 25 Abs:  25 minutes of abs that is so ridiculously amazing that you will need to pray before you do it! LOL

FRIDAY: RipSanity:  Asylum strength and T25 mixture and a lot of insane craziness!

SATURDAY: Speed 4.0:  Speed workout similar to what you did in T25 Speed 1.0 and 2.0

SUNDAY: Dig Deep is how you end the week with a bang!  This is BANANA’s YO!!!!  This sounds like Friday Fight From Max 30.

As far as eating went last week, I must say it was not good. I haven’t been feeling well and I’ve been battling some mouth pain that makes the whole process of cooking and sitting down to a meal, quite simply, painful. I finally got a prescription this week and have been numbing my mouth with ointments and rinses, but I seriously just don’t have any desire to cook. So…it’s been a lot of junk food. 🍕

And I know what you’re thinking.

“How bad could it have been, Britt?!”

Oh. It was bad. For me, anyways. Let me recap.

The week started off really great. Monday we had our Naan Pizza and salad. Tuesday, Charles made veggie fajitas, but by Wednesday I was full blown done with my mouth pain. I called Charlie and asked him to pick up Chik-fil-A (which is my go-to comfort food for when I don’t feel well) and I even asked for a Sprite (I never drink pop!). I ate chips and french onion dip more days this week than I can count (why did we buy that again?!) Oh, and I drank way too much alcohol (partially due to the NBA finals, partially due to wanting to “numb” my pain…yup…I’m being honest). And one more thing. I ate a donut on Friday BEFORE I went ahead and had breakfast and it was so dreamy and yummy that I went ahead and grabbed me another one today.

So…for me?! Bad.

If you know me and you’re reading this, you’re probably wondering what the -eff happened to me this week and the truth is…I don’t know. All I can say is that I straight up haven’t been feeling well and so my passion and drive to cook went out the window and my old habits of wanting to drink away pain/not care for myself trickled back in.

BUT…ya’ll know I don’t stay down. And ya’ll know I don’t play the guilt game. The Chik-fil-A, Sprite, chips n’ dip, hard root beers, and donuts were all kinds of delicious. I regret nothing and I move on this week knowing that this will not become a habit. We all have off weeks. Myself included!!!

I’m starting to feel like I’m on the mend. I went grocery shopping and stocked up on some AMAZING foods for this week…and I look back on my eating and realize that this week I have to get in tune with my TRIBE who holds me accountable.
