The 10 Most Important Things I Learned in Nashville

Exactly one week ago, I was walking through Downtown Nashville, heading back to my hotel after a day of PiYo. A week ago today I officially became certified to teach PiYo LIVE and while that was a whirlwind, crazy exciting opportunity, it also was the beginning of a trip I’ve been looking forward to all year. Beachbody Coach Summit!!!

So rewarding to lay yourself down at the end of the day, knowing you spent it doing what you love.

Coach Summit can be life changing if you enter with an open mindset and a heart that is receptive to progressive change. Unfortunately, though, not every coach can make it to Summit due to conflicts and such. I certainly missed my team, but next year, we are going to be there together- stronger than ever!!!

Can't wait to have even MORE T180/TOV Coaches in Nashville next summer!!!

Every Wednesday night I host a weekly team webinar where I share with my team of coaches the best practices, tips from the trenches, and inspiration from my heart. This week, our topic is all about last week’s amazing Coach Summit. And as I sit here reviewing all of my notes, I figured, why not share it with YOU, my followers and future teammates! 🙂

Here are my Top 10 Coach Summit Takeaways!!!

  1. Get out of an instant gratification mindset. Isn’t this so true for EVERYONE now-a-days?! I mean…EVERYTHING, like literally EVERYTHING is designed to provide instant gratification. It has engulfed our lifestyles. No wonder people give up on their New Year’s Resolution to lose weight for good! It doesn’t happen overnight! And when things don’t happen quickly, most people get discouraged and give up. Not me. Not this time!

  2. Change elicits FEAR. And anger…and sadness…and uncertainty…and feelings of inadequacy. But isn’t “change” a form of growth? And isn’t growth good? Stop being so afraid to change for the better!

  3. Don’t be afraid to reach out and talk to someone. I met so many fascinating people (Beachbody Coaches and not) on this trip. I kept encouraging myself to just keep being curious. Ask questions. Get to know them. Hear their story.

  4. Everyone wants to feel needed. Remember what is most important in life and don’t allow your job to overrule your relationships. Nothing is more important than those you love (and the ones that love you right back!).

  5. Your phone is killing your relationships. Imagine holding a phone in your hand while you speak to someone or setting it on the table during a dinner out. We all do that!!! What does that simple act say to the person you are with? It says…”I care, but not more than I do about the text I might get…” Put the phone away, Brittany. Put it away.

None of my progress as a coach has been instant. I spend each and every day working towards my goals. Bit by bit, I'm getting there!

  6. Everyone has limitations when it comes to working out and eating right. If you say “I don’t have time.” “I don’t have the money.” “I’m horrible at sticking to it.” Or even “I need someone to push me to get it done.” YOU AREN’T ALONE! I can’t tell you how many times I hear those phrases and it’s comforting to know that the Top Coaches in this business ALSO hear those excuses, too. And yes…they are excuses. 😉

  7. Stop griping about what’s wrong with your situation. Celebrate what’s right.
    Period.

  8. We are all witnesses to people who show great passion and possibility on this planet. But at some point we have to stop being witnesses and just make it our own.

  9. Your growth impacts and inspires the growth of others around you. You never know how wide your river can flow.

  10. Your story matters. Every ONE’s story matters. Maybe it’s your time to tell it. You never know who might need to hear it.

Every ONE Matters. Period.
