Testimonies of a Fit Life & How YOU Can Do it, Too!

Every morning I have a pretty developed routine that I like to stick to. Anyone else? I’m sure most of you have some sort of routine that gets you movin’ and groovin’.

For me, I take time to make my morning coffee, read my Bible and pray for the upcoming day ahead, and then when my mind feels focused, I like to open up my laptop and check in with my challengers.

I love starting my day with gratitude and prayer. It gets my mind set right for what I am working on achieving each day.

I’m a Beachbody Coach. I help others live healthier, happier lives by holding their hand on this uncertain and difficult journey. I am not a nutritionist. I am not a personal trainer. I am a teacher. And this job has changed my life.

Yup! That's me and my beautiful friend, Emily, standing next to Chalene Johnson at Coach Summit last summer in Vegas!!!

Today, for example, I woke up to some testimonies from my clients. Last night I challenged them to write about their biggest struggles in this last month and to also write about their successes. It is always a humbling moment to read through these. Here are some that I had the honor of reading this morning:

“My biggest challenge was combining all the pieces to success. One week I did great with the workouts but slacked on food and then the next I focused on food but slacked on working out. Yesterday I was determined to completely meal prep for the week and it was exhausting cooking everything but I did it. Every meal and snack is cooked and portioned out for the week. I also have been determined to stay active this week ( do both food and physical fitness) I played 18 holes of golf and went to the driving range twice. I’m not sure how many golfers we have in the group but 18 holes is no joke I was sweating and my arms were burning.

My biggest success was getting a good thing going with meal prepping and forcing myself to do it. I kept telling myself that I spent the money on all this fresh and delicious food that I need to go forward and prep it for the week or it will go to waste. Now last week and this week I have saved money and time by having my meals prepped. The old me would grocery shop and then eat out dinner and lunch at least 5 days a week. So much wasted food!! I also have focused on increasing my water intake ( old me was a big soda addict)”

Teaching my clients how to meal plan and prep has been one of the greatest rewards in this job!

And then there’s this one…

“One of my biggest challenges was to overcome my “need” for certain caffeinated drinks to get me through the day. I literally would go to the coke machine at least 4x a day and if I were home and would make a pitcher of sweet tea, I could drink the entire pitcher within a few hours. My other challenge is making sure I give myself me time and working out. The first week it was a struggle to keep up with the videos even if they were 30 minutes. The 2nd week went a lot better and I felt so accomplished when I did finish a set. I am getting used to my body feeling better and I can definitely tell when I stray from the healthier food.
At the end of last year, I actually went through the whole consultation for weight loss surgery. I now know that I don’t need that to be my path to lose weight. I was initially denied by insurance because I wasn’t unhealthy enough so I kind of regressed and did more harm to myself by eating so much junk that I gained back what I had lost at that point and then some. I want to continue to better myself and this group has helped me in such a way that I can’t explain it. My next step is the meal prep and mastering the workout schedule now that the kiddos are back home.”

Coaching helped me to see that I could really make an impact on this world!

Do either of these testimonies sound like you?! These are real people who are having real struggles that are NOT unlike the majority of people out there! I love how my first client said that “…Now last week and this week I have saved money and time by having my meals prepped.” That is LIFE CHANGING STUFF, PEOPLE! 🙂 Most people look at eating healthier as more expensive, but in all actuality it isn’t at all! You just have to have a plan and PREP for this stuff!!!

I love how honest my second client was. She was a candidate for weight loss surgery…and she got denied! And I’m so honored to be able to hold her hand and show her that she never needed surgery at all. That she has what it takes IN HER to lose that weight and keep it off for good. This, my friends, is why I do what I do!

Yup...a dream and a plan to get there!

Again, I’m not versed in nutrition and fitness training (not with a certificate anyway). But I’m versed with a heart for helping others. That’s my passion. Showing other people how I do what I do in my own life. Allowing people to believe that they are good enough to lose the weight. Teaching my online fitness community how to meal plan and prep and showing them how to have fun in the process.

Have you ever considered doing what I do? Maybe you have a passion for health and fitness yourself, but no degree. Or maybe you just want to surround yourself with fit-minded friends to keep yourself accountable. Whatever the reason, I extend a personal invitation out to you today to join my team of coaches. We are changing lives- others and our own- and I’d love to have you along my side on this journey! Whether you need a little more money, want to build a business, or just want a nice discount on fitness products, becoming a coach could change your life! Give it a try! What do you have to lose?!
